You Can Outsource Your Thinking, but Not Your Understanding
You can outsource your thinking, but you cannot outsource your understanding.
In the age of vibe coding, writing code itself is no longer the hardest part. What truly matters is whether you understand the logic behind the code, the structure of the system, and how everything actually runs.
Tools like Claude Code and Codex are undeniably powerful. They can help you build faster, debug faster, and explore ideas faster. But without real understanding, they can easily become runaway horses: fast, impressive, and dangerous.
In the AI era, responsibility and trust matter more than ever.
When your code breaks, you cannot simply blame AI. You are still the one who ships it. You are still the one who owns the outcome.
So the goal should never be: "I only need to know how to use AI to write code."
The real goal is this: you need to understand what AI writes, why it writes it that way, and where it might go wrong.
You can let AI accelerate your thinking.
But your understanding must remain your own.
Because only understanding makes you responsible.
